Just Us and the Moon
Two birch trees set against a sky of blues. There are many coloured layers in this painting. In the sky I scrape the layers of black to reveal the phthalo blue beneath. Accretion, a wax technique has been used on the snow as seen in the detailed shot revelaing a lighter blue beneath. The results is a quiet piece that speaks to the silence of a winter night under the moon.
