Hunger Moon

CA$1,575.00

In this evocative encaustic painting, a pale, silvery moon hangs low in the winter sky, casting a ghostly light over a barren landscape. This is the Hunger Moon, a time when the earth lies dormant, and the forest holds its breath, waiting for the sap to run once more.

Bare trees stand silhouetted against the moonlight, their branches reaching skyward like skeletal hands. The air is heavy with anticipation, a reminder of the delicate balance between survival and scarcity. It is a time when stored food dwindles, and the wild creatures grow lean, their tracks etched lightly in the snow. Yet, beneath the icy crust, life waits patiently, knowing the promise of spring is just beyond the cold grip of the Hunger Moon.
