There is something about the colour yellow that always makes my heart sing. Yellow has a way of lifting the spirit, inviting joy, optimism, and light into even the simplest moments.

In Upon Golden Fields, I have allowed the colour yellow to dominate the painting, creating a landscape bathed in warmth and light. I combed the wax, allowing delicate linear textures to emerge across the surface, echoing the movement of wind sweeping through ripened fields. These marks create a quiet rhythm and invite the viewer to slow down and become immersed in the landscape. 

For me, this painting is a celebration of abundance, hope, and those fleeting moments when the landscape is transformed into something almost magical by the golden light of the day.
