PAINTING OF THE MONTH

“All that glitters is not gold” reminds us that beauty can conceal deeper truths. In my painting, golden light dances across Ontario’s lakes, capturing their serene and captivating surface. Yet beneath this shimmer lies an urgent reality—these waters face growing threats from pollution, climate change, invasive species, and overdevelopment.

The golden glow is both a celebration of natural beauty and a quiet warning. Without protection, what we treasure today may be lost tomorrow.

This painting invites reflection on our relationship with nature. Ontario’s lakes are not only beautiful—they are fragile. Their future depends on our care, advocacy, and stewardship.

This painting will be on display during Melt Studio and Gallery’s first show of the season, RENEWAL, Juried Group Show, opening May 16th to June 15th,

with the opening reception

Saturday May 17th from 1-4 pm.
