"Striking Skies". 12 x 12 in, Encaustic, framed in solid walnut

This painting depicts the dramatic stormy skies that sweep across Canada's prairie provinces. On cross-country road trips to visit family out West, I am always struck by the beauty of these grain elevators that are so specific to these regions.
